We packed in many great activities on this beautiful day, and I am so glad I got to share it with so many great people! The first main event was the installation of the new dog door by Dylan and the contractor. The dog run is not ready for full use yet...it still needs a roof and the snake-proof chicken wire, but we gave the doggies a few lessons in learning to go in and out of the dog door. It was so funny. Especially when we squeezed fatso Diego through the tiny, tiny door and his rolls of fat were getting caught on the sides of the door.
Then, Dylan and I joined Max and Kristin on a trip to MacDonald's Ranch, where we met up with the Meabons, Natales, and Brad and Ashley. It was so fun seeing the kiddos in the petting zoo and at the pumpkin patch. You'll have to excuse these pictures...the sun was incredibly bright, and I'm still no expert in photography so they're a little over-exposed.
Max providing a lesson in roping.
Uncle Dylan and Kenna.
Hudson loved petting the animals!
...and riding the mini horse.
He was not a fan of the pokey hay!
Dylan and yours truly.
Hudson wouldn't look at the camera because of the bright sun, so I didn't either.
When we got home, Dylan did some more work on the bikes. Mine is set to go, but his still needs some minor adjustments. The tires are all slimed, our new water bottles have been affixed to the crossbar, and our portable bike pump has been securely fastened to Dylan's bike. At the rate we're going, we're never gonna get these bikes out. But, I guess it's a little warm still anyways. There's always next weekend. How do you like my green helmet?
At night, we took the off-roading vehicles to the river for a BBQ. The Palmers headed home when the baby got tired, but Shawn, Elaine, Dylan, and I stayed well past dark. We only had a tiny flashlight that was flickering out, so I was kind of nervous (not a fan of the dark or enclosed places).

Who is that handsome guy?
Joe enjoying the outdoors.
A more appropriate drink for H.
But he still wants beer!
Max caught a fish (I think).
Please let the record show that it is 5:44 am on a Sunday. I am out of control with this early rising. We have another full day ahead of us, so I am just trying to cram it all in! Hope your weekend has been as glorious as mine, and Happy Sunday!
