How long has it been since you set foot in the Gap? For me, it had been ages. Eons, possibly. I thought the clothes were boring in my college years and never really went back. But I visited one today and had the most successful shopping trip I've had in probably 10 years. In general, I very much prefer the virtual marketplace, but today was worth the trip to the mall. {And if you appreciate specific details and accuracy, as I do, then you should know that this shopping venture was to the Gap Outlet.}
I brought home 14 different items, including two pairs of pants for $6 each, an $8 skirt, some comfy tees, tanks, a sweater, some more pants, a blazer/sweater thing, and probably the cutest dress I've ever owned. Besides the dress, nothing cost more than $16.
And the cherry on top-- no sales tax in Oregon.
And thanks to Tess for her wonderful patience with me and the ride to the mall. And the encouragement in purchasing that third comfy tee.
And even though this post might have you assuming that today is my birthday, in fact you would be wrong. It is actually DT's 30th birthday! He spent it doing manual labor working on his parents' home renovation with his dad, including two trips to the dump. But he had the best time hanging out with his dad and wouldn't have spent it any other way. I, on the other hand, did lots of relaxing to celebrate the occasion and met up with DT for a cheeseburger lunch.
DT and his mom share the same birthday, and this is the first year they've been together to celebrate in 12 years. We had a nice dinner at Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay, and I managed to bake a spice cake with cream cheese frosting, DT's favorite, for after dinner. We opened presents at Cody and Abby's house and finished the night off playing the Kinect.
Stay tuned for pictures of the amazing renovations underway on Laurel Street, including the makeshift kitchen in the garage. Also, I have some interesting reads to share with you.
My advice to you tonight is to head to your nearest Tanger Outlet to score some smokin hot deals at GAP.
