I wish animals would stop trying to live in my bar-b-que. This time it was a squirrel, and it had pulled all kinds of fruit peels from the composter and gathered them into a big nasty pile underneath the 'que. The dogs chased him out for us, and poor Dylan was left to clean up the mess. I made him a delicious tuna salad sandwich to thank him.
My second complaint is this: why was Spotify posting to Facebook what I was listening to all day long, and why did this not show up in my own Facebook newsfeed so that I knew to remedy the situation? I'm embarrassed...I didn't actually want everyone to know what I was listening to, especially because it was all unimaginative top 20 crap. And plus, it's just garbage to everyone's newsfeed. So I offer you my apologies, and assure you that it won't be a problem in the future.
Now that I've gotten the complaining out of my way, I must say that I had the most enjoyable past two nights. Thursday was spent at Chipotle, where Jess, Nora, and I reviewed some embarrassing pictures from college that I found while I was cleaning out the guest room. My midriff was exposed in almost every picture, which looking back I find to be very impolite, and my too-short hair was certainly a situation. We also had a good laugh over the marathon plan that Nora presented me in late 2002, complete with sparkly heart and star stickers. I wish I could say that I'm still such a motivated runner, but at least Nora makes up for what I lack by running several half and full marathons every year.

| Once upon a time, I was an avid half-marathoner...thanks to my friend, Nora. |

| Sorry friends, I couldn't not post it. |
And then, last night six of us female friends celebrated Nicole's birthday with happy hour at The Keg. We all received an extremely generous pour of wine, which contributed to the lively conversation, I'm sure. Why do we not do this more often? It was such a good time.
On a different, but still positive, note, I'd like to announce that after a full five weeks, I'm finally done with the deep-clean. Baseboards, fans, chandeliers, blinds, windowsills, every closet, floor, shelf, drawer, EVERYTHING. It's done. My better half helped where the ladder was involved (fans and chandeliers), for which I am very grateful. Had I been able to put in more than two hours of work once every few days, it would have gone much more quickly...but ya know. Beats hiring a cleaning crew when I really have no justification for doing such a thing, and it's so refreshing to be able to haul away tons of crap and dust.
And with that, I am off to continue with living my life.
