The Simple Life

Dylan's been home most of the week, and now that we're approaching the weekend, I've thought about how enjoyable our time has been. Just so simple and easy, so don't prepare yourself for excitement.

I already wrote about our Monday. On Tuesday, he actually did have to work, so I spent some time with my Sewing Teacher and finished another bag.

Boom! It's reversible.
For my next project, I hope to add pockets or something fancy. But Sewing Teacher is heading back to Minnesota before the heat really sets in, like a smart person. So, Mom, it's time to dust off your sewing machine.

After completing my bag, we had lunch at Pei Wei, and then I spent time with Mom and the nephews before heading to the Apple store so a Genius could bring my phone back to life, yet again.

Other than that, we've just been enjoying having the time to buy fresh food and prepare healthy and delicious snacks.

And appreciating the cool nights by reading books outside.

And wrestling rodents out of our BBQ. We had to bring in the real fighters to accomplish the mission. Look at what a mess it made of the collapsable BBQ cart. Not to mention some chewed up wires. Don't expect to be invited to our house for a BBQ anytime soon.

And going for regular jogs, as well as an adventurous walk with a 2-year-old (and his daddy and baby brother and all four dogs).

And thinking about some landscape plans, and finishing my first final project for my Photoshop class. And today we are assembling garage shelves and doing some reading to prepare for the weekend before I blast off early tomorrow morning for Seattle. I'll be doing some stuff there while Dylan does a little work and holds down the fort around here. I'm excited to see some precipitation.

It doesn't get much better than The Simple Life.
