By Wednesday I will have worked four out of six days in a row. Actually gotten in my car, driven 30 miles each way, and worked an entire shift on four separate occasions. Add that to going to class and also my latest venture, volunteering at the local animal rescue (where I walked a teeny little 4-pound chihuahua today), and you've got one semi-busy girl. We also mixed in a rockin' party at the Johnsons in celebration of Blake's third birthday on Saturday and a day full of errand running today. We failed at doing any of our normal leisure activities, including a trip down to the river and watching a movie or two. Dylan did introduce me to a new TV show this morning, though. It's called 'Veep' on HBO, and I just might have to add it to my extremely meager summer line-up.
It is nice to be productive, but if we're being honest, I'll admit that I'm feeling a tad cranky. All of this running around just when the unbearable heat is starting to set in is making me wish I could go for a random, last minute getaway. But I'll refrain from complaining any further and use the energy instead to appreciate that life is pretty easy peasy right now.
Here is my photographic contribution for the day, though it has nothing to do with anything I've just told you about. J&R went in for a spa day last week and came home with these ridiculous bows. (I think it's precious, but close your eyes if you are one of those people that hate small dogs because it just might make you sick.)
Quite an improvement over the 'before' picture, wouldn't you say?
Don't worry, the bows have since been removed.
