I had the pleasure of joining about 250 of Dylan's family members in Whistler, BC last week. But, unfortunately, Dylan himself was unable to make it. I had a really great time with my littler sisters and Mil-parents, though. Sisters are really fun...what a shame that it took me so long to acquire all of my many sisters.
Whistler was, of course, beautiful. And also refreshingly cool and rainy. We spent a lot of time indoors, but I did manage to make it outside on a few walks around Whistler Village and even went on a 6:30am bike ride with my Mil-parents.
I do love to see snow in the summer. So much so that I captured this picture of Mt. Rainier on my descent into Seattle en route to Vancouver.
We stayed at the lovely Fairmont Chateau Whistler, which was a stone's throw away from the lift at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. We heard many tales of the black bears running around Whistler, but unfortunately (or quite fortunately, depending on how you view things) I never saw any bears with my own two eyes. The remaining pictures are just random shots from my phone and camera from throughout the weekend.

My favorite thing about this trip every year, besides learning new things and meeting new people, is staying extremely well fed for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and in-between.
It's always nice to get back to one's own house and bed, but I did not miss the heat. At all.
